Sohaila Bastami, MD
Sohaila Bastami is a PhD candidate in the PhD Program in Biomedical Ethics and Law at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Zurich, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the ethics of organ donation after cardiac death. She will investigate the moral dilemmas family members of donors and involved medical personnel experience when faced with the option of organ donation. Sohaila is particularly interested in the interface between medical practice and moral theory and looks forward to exploring topics in clinical ethics and the ethics of health care delivery.
