Karen Restifo, MD, JD

Karen Restifo is a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician. She received her MD from Georgetown University, followed by an Emergency Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University. For ten years she was faculty at Yale University School of Medicine where aside from her clinical duties she was heavily involved with the medical school with medical student education and curriculum development. She returned to law school in attempt to learn more about the interaction of medicine and law. Most recently, she has had the privilege of enjoying a prolonged internship with the Connecticut Attorney General’s office working on health care related issues and patient advocacy.
