Shirley Shalev, MA, PhD

Shirley Shalev is a social scientist and mass communication researcher. She received her M.A. degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her Ph.D. at Tel-Aviv University. For the last six years she was holding a position as a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel-Aviv University. Her work focuses on contemporary interactions of medical technology, ethical issues, bio-political debate, media agency and healthcare policy - with a particular interest in advanced reproductive technologies, genetic enhancement, research on human embryonic stem cells and cloning. Prior to her academic research, Dr. Shalev was also a strategic consultant in the fields of marketing communication and business development.
